An Invisible Houseguest, Spring has Sprung, and the Hunt is On

Sometime late last Fall/early Winter, little man found a wee friend and was worried that he would be cold outside all Winter so he thought about it for a while and came up with a brilliant solution - I'll just take him inside!  He told no one of his plan and proceeded to place the little frog in one of my MIL's plants where he stayed nice and toasty inside all Winter.  My MIL was watering her plants a few weekends ago and was a bit surprised when she found her invisible-until-then houseguest.  It would appear that the wee frog adapted to the house quite well over the Winter, meandering around as he saw fit, and it took a little doing to find him this past weekend.  In the end little man was reunited with his wee friend and we found him a nice cozy spot outside.

Little man wanted me to point out how well he is camouflaged.

The weather was warm and the sun was out and it was not too difficult to see signs of Spring all around.

The lake is frozen no more, as you can see.

The fish weren't biting, but the green funk was sure plentiful!

Though the color green could be found here and there, the majority of the area was still sleepy and brown.

I did manage to find the opportunity to photograph a recent FO that has made it into rotation - it was not knit by me, but by one of my Thursday Night Knitting Ladies who had originally made it for one of her son's friends but it didn't fit quite right.  She asked if I would want it for little man and I gave an immediate "yes!" - the pattern has been in my queue for ages now - and I will be trading her some yarn for it.  Gotta love a good trade :D

Before long it was time to get to work.  Right up until the rain came...

Today, the minions met a new mischievous pair of bunnies.  Truth be told, they are almost as mischievous as the minions, but they were on their best behavior while enjoying views of the lake.

The dreaded bunny-ear battle!

A bit more work on the latest project and it was off to see their cousins and hunt for some eggs.

Really?  You want me to stand here for a photo when I could be looking for more eggs?
