Do you ever have the feeling that you are trying to do too many things at one time and not making much progress? I feel very scattered at the moment - too many things on my To Do List. I haven't even picked up a pair of knitting needles since last Saturday! I do have a few fiber-y photos for you though. It would appear that my crochet kick has continued. These little coasters are just too quick and fun! I also managed to knit up a pair of socks for little miss. Once little man had 2 pairs of socks, little miss informed me in no uncertain terms that she too, needed more socks. These were knit with some remnants of Sunshine Yarns Soft Sock in the Taos Colorway. It was perfect too -- I had less than a yard left when I closed up the second sock :)
My spinning has continued as well and I even knit my first project out of my own handspun! Just some quickie fingerless mitts, but I was able to use them a few weekends back during a little cold spell and they were nice and toasty. Speaking of quickie projects, I knit up a little mushroom rattle for my SIL's upcoming arrival out of various sock yarn remnants. Little miss gives her seal of approval :)
Here's a throwback photo for you!
Me in the '80's. You may be asking yourself "why is she posting this photo" and I'll tell you. Though it's not just to show that awesome hat - rest assured I will be working out a pattern for that one! Squibstitcher, Gherkin, and I are teaming up for an I Love the 80's club later this year. More info will follow later. And, I am happy to report that I finally started my own group on Ravelry! Not sure why it took so long for me to start one, but it's up and running and you should go and join up :)
Aside from the knitting, the crochet, the spinning, and the dyeing, the minions and I have been finding some time to go outdoors and enjoy this nice Spring weather.
Poor thing... It would appear that little miss has inherited my less-than-lengthy stems and Capri pants just really don't work out like they're supposed to!
We also like to take time to ponder the best approach to take in life.
Sharing can be difficult at times.
So we throw the ball up in the air (luckily all missed her head) and dance.
It's not all fun and games for the Dreams in Fiber household.... Manual labor can be good for the soul don't you think? Especially when there are treasures to be found.
I hope you all enjoy the upcoming Holiday Weekend, that's all for now!

Hi Erica! It's great to see a fun update! your kiddos always look like they're having fun. I can tell you all are a happy family.
Love the 80s photo. You are SO pretty -- you have such striking eyes.
Excellent catch-up post. I love the picture of your daughter with the rattle. Too cute!
Love the pic of you in the 80s-- I can see hints of your kids in you in it :)
I love your rattle! Did it come from a pattern? I've stalled on knitting the 2nd mitten for 'mittens for the fishermen'-- SO warm here lately :)
