My hubby was chatting with one of our neighbors yesterday when they noticed a molting cicada on the fence dividing our properties. He quickly yelled at me to "grab my camera" and I was able to capture the event. Well, most of it anyway. If insects aren't really your thing, you may want to skip this post. They are fascinating and oh! so icky! They do this in our yard and line up their old exoskeletons along a branch on our crabapple tree.

Wow you have good timing to show up while its happening. Its actually a really pretty thing and not as gross as it would seem.
