Sunny Skies

Has it really been that long since my last post? Geez. Sorry! Lets see, what have we been up to? The hubby and I decided that it was time to get our house re-sided and some new windows installed. We've been trying to spend the sunny days outside and/or down at my in-law's lake house. Then there was the flooding... We were actually really lucky during this flood. We didn't end up getting any water in the house and we didn't lose water like we did during the Floods of 1993. I know there are a lot of others who weren't as lucky as we were though, so I am donating a portion of the sales of MY NEW ETSY SHOP to help with the rebuilding. That's right folks. I started up my own little shop on Etsy.com. Here's a little sample of my handiwork in case you're interested :)
Also in fiber-y news, I finished Mom's Dublin Bay socks. And also started a new pair of staggered rib socks with some yarn that was gifted to me. I am currently on the foot portion of the second sock but that has been temporarily side-lined with another project for little miss that I'll mention next post.

This year has been rather odd weather-wise. There are a few sunny days for the minions to enjoy scattered amid the majority of days that have been looking something like this.We don't let that get us down though. Here's a little photo montage of how the minions have been enjoying their time outdoors.
As you can see, there's a lot of water involved! I have had fun wandering around outside myself. Here's some photos from a recent zoo trip. My next post will also contain some zoo photos which were taken yesterday, but in an attempt to speed up the time in which my blog takes to load, I'm trying to shorten things up a tad and... hopefully.... post more often. Wish me luck!

Hasn't the weather been glorious this week!? What a nice change from all of the rain. The yarns you have for sale are really lovely. I especially like the one third down on the left. Very nice stuff. I'll be keeping my eye on your etsy shop... also, I'm in Urbandale!
