Baseball season is almost over. Tonight is little man's last official game of the Season though we still have a handful of make-up games to play. Here are a few photos from last week's game.
This week little miss has her last dance class before her recital rehearsals and the actual recital. She had her recital pictures taken this past weekend. That was an experience! The hubby had my camera with him on a baseball trip so I made due with little man's. I'll try to take some clearer shots with my camera when she has her rehearsal.
After her pictures, the minions and I headed to the Adel Sheep and Wool Festival. We checked out some of the different types of sheep and made our way through the fiber vendors. It was rather surreal - none of the fiber or yarn jumped out at me. I thought I was going to walk away empty handed and then I saw this.
Handspun, Handwoven, 100% Alpaca, and beautiful. This will be used for many years to come. It was made by the same folks that I dropped all my Suffolk wool/llama to for processing :) Want a closer view? Thought so. This is shawl and/or table runner size.
Today the minions and I headed out to the zoo. The zoo has been busy adding in different features and though some areas are still under construction, we had a good time walking around and checking out the animals. Only one was a little saucy showing a tooth, but I had some odd eyes and a lot of primping going on - perhaps they knew they were going to have their pictures taken and put up on a blog?
I do have one bit of fiber-y news. This month marks the beginning of the Dreaming Pickle Pot Duo Club - Camelot 2013. Once again, I have no photos of the yarn other than the pictures of the accompanying pattern. This is Lady of the Lake - test knit for me by Beth who graciously lent it to me for photos. The other yarn that was sent out was Merlin.
That's it for now, have to head out to a ball game :)
