Just Couldn't Help Myself

I know, I know. Stranded Mittens are my Knitting Olympics project but I just kept sitting there watching the games and oogling over the incredible headgear that the fans were sporting... What was I supposed to do?

In my defense, this USA hat only took an evening - maybe my time was good enough to make it past the qualifying round!



This is not the official USA hat for the Olympic team but I had the colors needed in my stash and in the amounts that would work for this hat. Very quick and satisfying and should have been mine... Little man spotted the abnormally large pom pom on top and that was the end of that. I haven't even had a chance to wash/block it out yet, he refuses to take it off!

In other news, I'm still plugging away at my other projects.... And little miss has wasted no time in breaking in her new mittens - and little man's fish hat, since it was unoccupied :)
