Operation Blizzard of 2009 or Something Like That

Nothing gets those Meteorologists quite as excited as adverse weather conditions. I'm not sure what they're calling our recent snowfall but the title usually has "Operation" in there somewhere. Central Iowa was even on the Weather Channel, it must have been big news! Just thought I'd post a few pictures of our 14-16 inches.

The drifts right in front of the front porch:
The drifts that were too big for our snowblower:
And my project for this morning:

The walk/steps is now finished and I succeeded in clearing off my vehicle. Now I have a date with a heating pad :)

In northern NY they are getting feet of snow but here in central NY we only have about 1". VERY cold here though!

This is why I miss Iowa and why I'm glad I don't live there anymore!
