Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010

Isn't there some sort of unspoken law in blogland that there has to be one last post for the year discussing past happenings and plans for the new year? Well, here's my little addition. I have mixed feelings about 2009. There seemed to be a lot of crummy stuff going on in general, but there was also a good deal of people overcoming obstacles and looking forward with renewed hope and interest. I have high hopes for 2010 personally. I have plans for my little Dreams in Fiber shop, there are patterns to be written, socks to be knit, and I have decided that 2010 will be the year of Colorwork. There are too many colorwork projects that I want to dive into so it's time to get going with that direction. Not to mention spinning and crochet...

2009 wasn't all bad though.... I started spinning, little man started school, we welcomed a new addition into the family (nephew Z), and I finished up a fair amount of projects and designs. Also, I went from being a solo fiber junkie to a part of a very fun Knitting Group and I am immensely thankful and happy about that.

My favorite part of 2009 (aside from knitting my way through 11 miles of yarn) was watching my minions grow and change.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! The sledding looks like fun if you are the one on the sled...

Hey Short Stack,
Love the pics of the minions. This is the first time I read your blog, so I went through several of your older posts as well.
Your family is so beautiful!
Miss you,
E
